Mastering IBM Rational ClearQuest Multisite Administration
This course is specially designed for network managers and administrators of Rational ClearQuest MultiSite installations. The course examines the special planning and maintenance issues involved in deploying, installing, operating and administering Rational ClearQuest MultiSite among geographically distributed sites.

SCM 290: Essentials of Rational ClearQuest (Equivalent to SCM110)
SCM 490: Mastering Rational ClearQuest Administration
SCM 485: Mastering Rational ClearCase MultiSite Administration (optional)
Required Experience
To benefit from this course, students must:
- Know how to managing computer networks with TCP/IP protocols.
- Have some system administrator experience, at least one-year, for UNIX and/or Microsoft Windows environments.
- Have some basic knowledge of relational database management systems.
- Know how to track defects and change requests with Rational ClearQuest.
- Be able to develop scripts with VBScript and Perl.
- Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to:
- Accomplish the steps required to plan and implement a ClearQuest MultiSite deployment.
- Understand the importance of creating and maintaining a test environment for ClearQuest MultiSite.
- Understand the operational best practices for managing replicas and sites.
- Understand the architecture of ClearQuest MultiSite.
