Position Responsibilities for a Solution Architect – 321 Gang:

321 Gang is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join our technical team. As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in driving customer success through strategic technical sales, consulting, training, and solution delivery. 

Position Responsibilities 

• Partner with 321 Gang sales teams to technically qualify solutions, with a focus on IBM Engineering and DevOps (including Rational and Telelogic brands). 

• Plusses include knowledge of FinOps (Cloudability, Turbonomic, Instana, Kubecost, Targetprocess), Pure Variants, GitLab, and Jira Align. 

• Define and deliver customer-focused training on products, tools, and modern software engineering practices. 

• Engage directly with clients to ensure successful implementation and adoption of solutions. 

Required Qualifications 

• US or Canadian resident with legal right to work in the United States. 

• 5+ years of experience providing solution consulting support for enterprise software companies. 

• Deep expertise in IBM Engineering and IBM DevOps (including Rational and Telelogic brands) solutions is required. 

• A strong plus but not required would be experience with IBM FinOps (Cloudability, Turbonomic, Instana, Kubecost, Targetprocess), Pure Variants, GitLab, and Jira Align.  

• Prefer administrative expertise in installing, upgrading, migrating, and configuring IBM tools. 

• 5+ years’ experience working in compliance-driven software or systems engineering organizations. 

• Proven ability to interact with customers through presentations, training, mentoring, and solution implementations (onsite and virtually using tools like Zoom, Teams, or similar). 

• Excellent presentation, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

• Self-starter comfortable in fast-paced environments. 

• Comfortable communicating with executives and engineers in different situations 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related field (preferred). 

Additional Requirements 

• Willingness to travel up to 25%. 

• US DOD, DHS, or DOE security clearance within the last 2 years is a plus. 

• Commitment to continuous learning. 

• Ability to work independently from home. 

• Based near a major continental-US or Canadian airport. 

• Experience with IBM Software, Systems Engineering, Telelogic, or Rational is required. 

• Prior experience in a Solution Architect or similar role is a plus.
