DESCRIPTION:Within a lean/agile at scale environment\, Jira Align’s primary value proposition is its ability to connect enterprise strategy with product delivery execution ‘on the ground.’ Lean-Agile leadership maintains the overall strategic themes and portfolio vision within Jira Align where solution and product managers can then leverage these to help align the development of current\, short-term and longer-term deliverables in robust\, live visual product roadmaps. Live roadmaps also provide a dynamic\, real-time view of the health and progress of work against strategic themes across ARTs/value streams. \nSamit will spend 15-20 minutes on the front end providing an overview of the topic space while the remainder of our time will be an open discussion format. \nSamit Mehta\n \nBased in Austin\, Samit began his career as a software engineer on the F-16 Modular Mission Computer program at Texas Instruments (TI) Defense Systems & Electronics – now part of the Raytheon Company. Along with his role as a software engineer\, he pursued his passions in the areas of product development\, systems engineering\, iterative development\, and engineering processes- as well as tooling to help manage and automate these processes. As part of Rational Software (acquired by IBM)\, Samit provided coaching\, training\, and mentoring services to guide software and systems development organizations in the use of tools and best practices. Currently\, Samit is part of 321Gang’s SAFe and Atlassian Jira Align team helping organizations adopt the Framework with the support of this industry leading enterprise agile planning tool (Gartner).
