SUMMARY:Jira Align and the Development of Cyber-Physical Products
DESCRIPTION:The Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) provides a comprehensive approach to developing cyber-physical (hardware-inclusive) solutions- often a complex set of integrated systems. When these large scale solutions include hardware\, software and firmware\, and also must meet regulatory compliance standards\, applying lean-agile principles and practices become even more challenging. \nIn this webinar\, we’ll provide an introduction to how product and solution management roles can use SAFe\, Jira Align and more traditional engineering tools (we will use IBM’s Engineering Lifecycle Management as an example) to define and support the building of large scale\, cyber-physical systems. \nSamit Mehta\n \nBased in Austin\, Samit began his career as a software engineer on the F-16 Modular Mission Computer program at Texas Instruments (TI) Defense Systems & Electronics – now part of the Raytheon Company. Along with his role as a software engineer\, he pursued his passions in the areas of product development\, systems engineering\, iterative development\, and engineering processes- as well as tooling to help manage and automate these processes. As part of Rational Software (acquired by IBM)\, Samit provided coaching\, training\, and mentoring services to guide software and systems development organizations in the use of tools and best practices. Currently\, Samit is part of 321Gang’s SAFe and Atlassian Jira Align team helping organizations adopt the Framework with the support of this industry leading enterprise agile planning tool (Gartner).

SUMMARY:Coffee Chat | Jira Align and the Development of Cyber-Physical Products
DESCRIPTION:Join 321Gang’s “Coffee Chat” where we’ll do less talking… and more listening!  =) \nThis month’s topic:\n“Jira Align and the Development of Cyber-Physical Products”     \n\n\n\n\nWe’ll start out with a few slides and a demo to provide a brief overview of the topic and then we’ll open the floor up to answering your questions as well as encourage dialog around all things Jira Align.  \n\n\nSamit Mehta\n \nBased in Austin\, Samit began his career as a software engineer on the F-16 Modular Mission Computer program at Texas Instruments (TI) Defense Systems & Electronics – now part of the Raytheon Company. SUMMARY:Benefits of Custom Presentations | IBM Engineering Workflow Management
DESCRIPTION:IBM Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) provides many out-of-the-box features for the customization of attributes\, attribute types\, enumerations\, presentations\, workflows\, and more. Attributes can be presented as Decimals\, Integers\, Strings\, HTML\, Small HTML\, Radio Groups\, Enumerations\, Rich Text\, Categories\, Tags\, and Work Item Lists. However\, sometimes customers may need a bit more customization to address the needs of their internal users. \nIn this session you will see an example of a non-trivial custom presentation in EWM. For our customer\, the Work Item List editor presentation was simply not enough. Even though they liked the general idea of being able to see the links to the Work Items in a Work Item List\, the customer also wanted to be able to directly (from the Work Item List) create new Work Items to add to the list and to modify several attributes of existing Work Items in the list. \nWe will walk through the process of how we worked with the customer to identify their need; how we worked with the customer to refine their need; and\, at a high-level\, how we implemented the custom presentation.

SUMMARY:IBM Engineering | Tracing Requirements to SysML & UML Models
DESCRIPTION:Watch | Try | Learn\nA System or Software model is a powerful tool to either elaborate or implement requirements. In today’s highly regulated development environment\, it is critical to be able to trace a requirement to its corresponding model element. This interactive online workshop will teach you how to do just that using IBM DOORS Next and IBM Rhapsody Model Manager.  \nIn this FREE 1-hour expert-led\, hands-on virtual training\, you will: \n– Explore a SysML model in Rhapsody Model Manager (RMM)\n– Create a “Refined By Architecture Element” link from a DOORS Next artifact to a RMM model element\n– Create a “Satisfies” link from a RMM model element to a DOORS Next artifact\n– Navigate the new links\n– Quickly create tasks for your Requirements\n– View RMM diagram from DOORS Next
